The government has transferred five secretary-level public servants, including the secretary of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, to new offices.
Besides, Zillar Rahman, Dhaka divisional commissioner, has been promoted to the post of acting secretary of Privatisation Commission.
Two gazette notifications were issued in this regard by the Public Administration Ministry on Monday.
Planning Commission member SM Golam Faruque has been made secretary of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry while secretary to Civil Aviation Khorshed Alam Chawdhury transferred to the Planning Commission as member.
Secretary to Jute Ministry Shahid Ullah Khandaker has been transferred to the Public Works Ministry as secretary while secretary of Rural Development and Cooperative MA Quader Sarker transferred to the Jute Ministry.
Project Director of Akti Bari Akti Khamar Prosanta Kumer Roy has been made acting secretary of Rural Development and Cooperative.
This is the latest reshuffle in the civil administration which will come into effect immediately, read the notification.
