Bangladesh Ansar emerged as the champions in the 34th National Senior Gymnastic Championship which concluded at the National Sports Council gymnasium yesterday. Ansar earned a total of 17 medals including eight golds, seven silvers and two bronzes. BKSP clinched second spot with 16 medals including four golds and silvers and eight bronzes while BJMC ended third with two golds, three silvers and four bronzes.
BJMC’s Abul Kalam Azad won gold in the men’s singles with 69.45 points while Shahidul Islam Raju and Saddam Hossain were placed second and third respectively. Noor Akter Banu bagged gold in the women’s single with 40.325 points while Narghis Nahar and Anita Akter claimed silver and bronze respectively.
BKSP attained gold in the women’s team event while BJMC took home gold in the men’s team event.
