Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), with support from the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), is organising the National Collegiate Programming Contest (NCPC) at the UAP City Campus in Dhaka. NCPC is a national programming contest which provides a platform for young students to compete against computer programmers within all universities in Bangladesh. Both public and private universities are able to participate. The NCPC started its journey in 1998 and different universities have been organising the event almost every year. This year, the event aimed to be the largest yet in terms of participating universities, and succeeded. During the preliminary contest held online, contestants from roughly 90 universities participated. Out of the 90, a total of 55 were selected to take part in the final on-site event. The inaugural ceremony was held on March 11, while the prize giving ceremony concluded on March 12.
