Apeiruss, a Dhaka based electronic dance music trio, has recently worked in a song for a Bollywood flick. Last week, the song titled Buddha Sa Mann, from Karan Johar’s Kapoor & Sons, came out on Sony Music India’s YouTube channel.
Apeiruss composed and programmed the song alongside Indian musician Abhijit Vaghani.
Directed by Shakun Batra, Kapoor & Sons stars Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt. The film is scheduled to come out in theaters on March 18, 2016.
The trio formed three years ago, when Andy realised his passion and knack for composing music was similar to that of his band mates Samee Mahmud and his brother Shafi Mahmud. Since then, they have worked with many local and international artists and has launched their own productions.
Andy reported that Amaal Mallik, music director of Kapoor & Sons, contacted the trio to work on a song nearly two months ago, and they merrily agreed. After working on the song for a month, they handed in their composition, which was released on March 4.
Apart from their Bollywood and international ventures, Apeiruss is currently working with country’s finest singers including Mehreen and Tahsan Khan in their upcoming albums.
Earlier, Apeiruss had taken on another Bollywood project with Atif Aslam in a single called Zindagi Aa Raha Hoon Main.
