Robbers have looted Tk1.2 crore from a fast track ATM booth of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited at Harinhati under Kaliakoir upazila in Gazipur.
The looting incident took place early Thursday,said Kaliakoir OC Abdul Motaleb Mia.
Motaleb said: “A group of 10-12 robbers swooped on the ATM booth when the officials of an organisation named Moneyplant went to the booth to deposit money in it around 2:30am Thursday.”
“The robbers beat up security guard Liakat Hossain and snatched away two trunks filled with the money.”
The robbers had come on a pickup, he added. On information, police visited the spot around 3am.
Two gunmen and seven bank officials including the security guards were present on the spot during the robbery, said the police official.
