Bangladeshi fusion band Chirkutt has confirmed to perform in SXSW Music, an annual music festival that is scheduled to take place this March in Austin, Texas, United States.
On March 16 and 17, the band will perform at the International Day Stage and the Russian House on 4:00pm and 10:00pm (local time), respectively.
SXSW Music, shortened form South by South West, is the largest music festival of its kind in the world with more than 2000 acts as of 2014 and celebrating 30 years in 2016.
Chirkutt shared the news on their Facebook page informing that they will be performing in the music festival alongside “more than 2300 bands from the different parts of the world.”
“On this very emotional state of our journey, we promise to take Bangladeshi music to new heights in the global music scene one day,” the post reads further.
Apart from the performance at SXSW, the band will hold a few other gigs in Dallas, Austin, Florida, New York and Atlanta as a part of their month-long tour of USA.
