BGB 9 Battalion Commander Lt Col Ahmed Junayed Alam Khan said a BSF patrol from Chandnichak camp gunned down Benazir when he was trying to cross the border around 1am.

“He managed to return home but succumbed to his injuries couple of hours later,” Junayed added.
