Police have recovered the body of a newborn in a carton of foodstuff in Hatikumrul intersection area under Solonga upazila in Sirajganj district.
The newborn was two to three days old, witnesses said.
Locals saw the body in the carton and informed the police around 10pm Tuesday.
Solonga police station Sub-inspector Mostafizur Rahman said: “On information, police went to the spot and recovered the body at night.”
However, the body was not sent to morgue for autopsy.
