The fire of BRAC Centre Inn in the capital's Mohakhali has been brought under control.
Eight units of firefighters doused the fire at 8:20pm Saturday, said Mozammel Haq, deputy director of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters in Dhaka.
A fire broke out at the fifth floor of BRAC Centre Inn in the evening, said Fire Service and Civil Defence Duty Officer Bhujon Sarker.
Bhujon told the Dhaka Tribune that being informed, eight units of firefighters rushed to the spot and were trying to douse the fire.
The fire might be caused from electric short circuit at the fifth floor of the building, said Mozammel Haq.
No casualty was reported till updating of this report at 9:15pm.
