N Mohammad products to be exported in Japan

N Mohammad Plastic Industries Ltd, a Chittagong-based plastic furniture manufacturing enterprise, is going to export plastic furniture and household accessories to Japan.

And for this, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between N Mohammad Plastic Industries Ltd and LEC Inc of Japan on Monday at a local restaurant in the port city.

Syed Abdullah Farhad, general manager of N Mohammad Plastic Industries Ltd and Miyanaga Kazunori, manger of LEC Inc signed on behalf of their respective party.

While addressing at a press conference followed by the MoU signing ceremony, Syed Abdullah Farhad said: “The foreign currency reserve of Bangladesh will increase if the products manufactured by N Mohammad gain access to Japan’s market. N Mohammad will import more machinery, if necessary. The export will generate employment of 500 people.”

“LEC Inc, a Japanese company, was pleased with the products of N Mohammad after conducting a market survey. As per the design provided by the Japanese company, N Mohammad will manufacture different types of furniture and the volume of export may increase as per the market demand in Japan,” hoped the general manager of N Mohammad.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Nurul Islam, honorary consul general of Japan in Chittagong, Abdus Salam, director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Mohammad Nazrul Haque, Mohammad Enamul Haque and Mohammad Manzurul Haque, managing director and directors of N Mohammad and Moynul Tahmid, chief executive officer of JBBC, Japan, among others.
