The runaway hit Deadpool continues to rack up big numbers in the box office. The US box office showed that once again the Rated R comicbook hero can bring in a significant amount, this time with over $50 million. After this past weekend, the film will now have garnered over $240 million in total since its release on Valentine’s Day.
Deadpool will become Ryan Reynold’s highest grossing film in his career after his 2013 film The Croods brought in around $187 million. The film has already broken a few records in the Rated R category and doesn’t look to slow down anytime soon as it remains at the top of the box office for the month of February.
However the film has new company with a dramatic horror in The Witch and Sony’s religious drama Risen. And the Jesse Owens biopic Race will see a moderate gathering with $8 million once the weekend is over.
