The Central Ekushey Observance Coordination Committee has outlined routes people will have to take to go to the Central Shaheed Minar and Azimpur graveyard to pay tributes to language martyrs.
Roads adjacent to the High court, Doyel Chattar, Bangla Academy, TSC, DU VC’s residence, Nilkhet police box and New Market crossing can be used to enter the graveyard’s northern gate.
Visitors will have to use the graveyard’s main gate and follow roads at Palashi Mor, Fuller Road, Salimullaha and Jagannath Hall to get to the Shaheed Minar.
Those unwilling to go to Azimpur will have to enter via Nilkhet police box, Shahbagh, Science Lab intersection and take the Fuller Road to reach the Shaheed Minar. People coming from Chankhurpul, Chawkbazar, and Bakshibazar will use the road in front of Buet.
To return from Shaheed Minar, people have to take the frontal road of DU central playground. Vehicles will not be allowed around the Shaheed Minar.
