At least 20 houses have been gutted in a devastating fire that broke out at Fatullah in Narayanganj.
The fire broke out early Friday.
Witnesses said a the fire originated from a tin-shed house at Bilash Nogor area around 1:30am and soon engulfed the nearby houses.
Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defence DAD Momtazuddin Ahmed said: “Two units from the fire service went to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 2am.”
He said the affected house owners claimed to have suffered a loss of about Tk8 lakhs in the fire.
However, the officer could not confirm the reason behind the fire.
