A person has been killed in a “gunfight” between two groups of robbers over establishing supremacy in Moheshkhali upazila of Cox's Bazar district.
The deceased is Murad, 32, son of Sadek Ali, of Matarbari Shikdar Para area.
Two groups of robbers locked in the “gunfight” on Matarbari road early Wednesday, killing Murad on the spot.
Moheshkhali OC Amirul Ferdous said: “On information, we went to the spot and recovered Murad's body.”
Meanwhile, two locally made pistol and seven rounds of cartridge were recovered from the spot.
