Two people have been killed and 20 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Amtala area of Jessore district.
The deceased is Salma Sultana, 32, wife of Jahid Hussain of Chittagong and Prodeep Mojumdar, 50, of Chittagong.
Witnesses said a Benapole bound bus collided head-on with a truck in Amtala area around 8:30am Monday, killing two people on the spot and injuring the others.
Bagharpara Khajura police camp In-Charge SI Masudur Rahman said: “The accident might have occurred due to dense fog.”
He said the injured were taken to Jessore Medical College Hospital.
