The new season of Game of Thrones is coming out on April 24 and HBO has graciously anointed the world with 20 new images from the brand new episodes.
The images include debut glimpses of a couple new faces in Westeros, along with snapshots of many returning favorites. It revealed which characters survived the final episode of season five, and subsequently, those who did not.
However, Kit Harington’s Jon Snow was not among the 20 images, and his fate remains unknown.
Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) - who jumped off the Winterfell castle wall to an unknown fate in the season five finale are shown to be very much alive. The seemingly confirmed dead remains to be tragically poisoned Myrcella Baratheon (Nell Tiger Free), and was shown as a corpse back at the Red Keep. Meanwhile, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is still blind and it looks like the “World’s Best Dad,” Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide), is back.
There’s also a first look at the new Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow) along with Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright), who is noticeably standing up (presumably because they’re in one of Bran’s vision flashbacks?). Who knows?
