A housewife has died after her scarf got tangled up with one of the wheels of an easybike she was riding near Notun Bazar in the capital's Badda area.
The deceased is Anamika Sarker, 30, wife of Palash Sarker, of Badda.
The incident took place around 6pm Friday when the victim, a mother of two, was going to a local shopping complex for buying school uniforms for her twin sons.
Anamika's neighbour Ujjala, who was with the deceased during the incident, told the Dhaka Tribune: “Anamika's scarf caught into the wheel of the vehicle and she was pulled out of the vehicle onto the road. She rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital immediately.”
Later, she died around 7:30pm while undergoing treatment, said ASI Sentu Chandra of DMCH police outpost.
