Road accidents kill 5 in 3 districts

At least five people have been killed in road accidents in Tangail, Bandarban and Narayanganj districts.

In Tangail, three people were killed when a Mymensingh-bound bus from Tangail had hit a rickshaw van in Ganggair area on the Tangail-Mymensingh Highway, Madhupur upazila on Tuesday morning.

The victims are Bedana Begum,55, her son Farhad Hossain,28, and Asraful, 45, of Ganggair Bakerkona area under the same upazila, said Station Officer of Modhupur Fire Station SK Tuhin.

In Bandarban, Md Sarwar, 28, died after a human haulier turned turtle at Lama in the afternoon. The deceased was a resident of Harbang area under Chakoria upazila in Cox's Bazar.

In Narayanganj, a factory worker was killed at Kanchpur, Narayanganj on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in the morning.

Deceased Abdur Rashid Mia, 52, a labourer at Rahim Steel Mill, was a resident of Girdan village under Sonargaon upazila.
