British Immigration Minister James Brokenshire is coming to Dhaka to discuss on irregular Bangladeshis living in the United Kingdom.
A senior government official said he would come to Dhaka on February 14 on a two-day visit and meet Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
He will also discuss about combating radicalisation and violent extremism, and security especially airport security with Bangladeshi officials.
The official said there is an allegation from the British authorities that a large number of Bangladeshis became irregular in the European country causing problem to them and their visas and passports have already been expired.
They want to discuss with Bangladesh home office about how to send them back, he said.
A British team is already working on airport security and he would be briefed about the latest progress in this regard, the official said.
Bangladesh has already submitted a time-bound action plan for the improvement of airport security.
