Lawmakers both from treasury and opposition benches yesterday hailed the President’s speech in the parliament saying the speech truly focused on the various development activities of the president government.
They said the President Md. Abdul Hamid, in his 93-page speech on January 20 in 2016, on the first day during of the ninth session of the 10th parliament, highlighted different development activities in social, political and economic sectors.
Six members of parliament (MPs) took part in general discussion on thanksgiving motion of the President’s speech on the 11th day of the ninth session with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
Treasury bench members Enamul Haque, Aftabuddin Sarker, Ali Azam, Begum Sanjida Khanam and Navana Akhter, and opposition bench member Begum Khurshidara Haque took part in the discussion.
