A man has shot his brother and nephew dead over a land dispute at Satkania upazila’s Khagoria union in Chittagong.
The deceased are Md Idris, 65 and his son Khalek, 20.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Fazlul Haque of Satkania police station told the Dhaka Tribune: “An altercation was erupted between Idris and his brother Safiqul Islam Bacchu over land dispute on Saturday afternoon, triggering a clash between the siblings.
“Later the family members of both siblings joined the chaos while Bacchu opened fire on Idris and Khalek, leaving them dead on the spot."
Bacchu managed to flee from the spot after the incident while police recovered the dead bodies around 6pm, ASI Fazlul added.
Police were trying to arrest Bacchu, said the ASI.
