The Department of Environment (DoE) has fined Tk51 lakh to two dying factories in Narayanganj for polluting the environment.
The factories are SB Dying Factory and Moon Dying Factory.
DoE Director (Monitoring and Enforcement) AKM Mizanur Rahman said the factories were fined as they had been operating without the DoE certificate and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
