The National Board of Revenue (NBR) is strictly monitoring on its field offices to achieve Tk1,76,371 crore revenue target set for the ongoing fiscal year 2015-16.
Keeping in line with the political guidelines, the NBR has also taken up a number of strategies to enhance its revenue collection activities through discussions and partnership with the taxpayers, said a press release.
As part of the plan, NBR has held two revenue conferences receptively on January 28 and February 2 at its headquarter. NBR chairman Nojibur Rahman presided over the meetings and have four specific directions to the tax officials.
They are – giving highest importance to country’s interest in line with the vision 2021 and 2041 as announced by government and follow the revenue authorities 5P policy that includes political guidance, people, partnership, planning and performance.
The chairman also instructed its officials to properly follow the NBR instructions and suggestions from the stakeholders to achieve the revenue target as mentioned in Budget Implementation Plan, Annual Performance Agreement and its Strategic Plan through ensuring overall taxpayers friendly atmosphere.
It has also asked its officials to help their colleagues and the stakeholders through providing importance to the revenue conference, revenue dialogue and the NBR announced monthly report card policies.
