At least four people received burns when a blaze erupted at a sweater factory in the city’s Boardbazar area yesterday. The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
However, none could not confirm the reason behind the fire and whether anybody was stranded inside the factory during the blaze.
Joydevpur Fire Service Station Officer Md Hasibur Rahman said: “The fire ensued on the top floor of an eight-storied building housed the sweater factory around 7:30am.”
Being informed, a total of 12 units from Uttara, Sreepur, Tongi and Joydevpur fire stations were trying to extinguish the fire as of filing this report at 12:45pm, said Tongi fire service Station Officer Morshedul Islam.
