Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has arranged a public hearing on the merger issue of Robi and Airtel.
The BTRC will arrange the hearing on February 17.
The regulatory body announced the public hearing date to take opinion of people from different school before finalising its recommendations on the merger concern of two telecommunication companies.
Interested peoples are requested to fill-up a form through online to participate the hearing by February 8, a BTRC circular reads.
BTRC arranged the public hearing on such concern according to the Bangladesh Telecommunication law.
The BTRC also decided for preliminary approval to the merger on September 29 last year with some conditions.
On January 28, two parent companies of Robi and Airtel signed a formal deal to merge their operation in Bangladesh.
The joint venture will be recognised as Robi.
