Two killed in Brahmanbaria clash

At least two people have been killed in a clash between two groups at Kalikapur village in Bancharampur upazila.

The fateful incident took place in the village on Sunday morning.

The names of the deceased were revealed as Abdus Salam, 65, and Lal Miah. Both are residents of the village.

Bancharampur police station Officer-in-Charge Angsu Kumar Dev said followers of Lal Miah and Salam had been locked in brawling on Thursday night over playing songs loudly in loudspeakers in a marriage ceremony. Even, a case was filed in the incident on the next day.

As sequel to the occurrence, musclemen of Lal Miah equipped with lethal weapons swooped on the house of Salam leaving him critically injured. Later he died on the way to Dhaka from local health complex.

The followers of Salam got infuriated at the death and they attacked Lal Miah who succumbed to his injures at local health complex.
