At least four persons have been injured when robbers hurled improvised bombs during a robbery at Dhaka’s Vatara, locals say.
The incident took place around 8:30pm on Saturday night.
The explosions reportedly led to the cardiac arrest and death of 70-year-old Jahurun Khatun, who lived nearby, her family claimed.
Vatara police station OC Sazzad Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune that they had heard about the robbery.
It was not immediately clear how much jewellery and money the robbers had made off with.
