Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to inaugurate the World Trade Centre (WTC) in Chittagong on January 30.
Mahbub Alam, president of Chittagong Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) came up with the announcement at a press conference held at WTC yesterday.
The CCCI organised the press conference on the occasion of its centenary anniversary and inaugural ceremony of the WTC.
The 21-storey centre has been constructed on 75 kathas of land in Agrabad Commercial Area at a cost of Tk 200 crore equipped with all modern facilities.
The CCCI president said: “It is not merely a building. Rather, it is a full-fledged trade centre where traders as well as foreign buyers will be able to visit and choose their desired products like apparel, leather, ceramics, jute and many other items.”
