15 killed in terror attack on Pakistan university
Unidentified gunmen have entered Bacha Khan University in Khyber Pakhtunkha’s Charsadda town and opened fire on students and faculty members as they gathered at the school for a poetry recital to commemorate the death anniversary of the activist and leader whom the school is named after.
Mass casualties are feared in an attack reminiscent of the deadly December 2014 terrorist attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar which left over 140 dead — most of them students.
One held with drone at Chittagong airport
Customs Intelligence officials have detained a person with a drone at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong.
The detainee is Mohammad Solaiman, 32, a resident of Potia area of the district.
BBIN agrees to form expert group for basin management

3 killed in Rangpur road crash
Three persons have been killed in a fatal road accident at Jaigirhat point near Shapla Cold Storage on the Dhaka- Rangpur highway under Mithapukur upazila.
The deceased were identified as Mithun Mian, 23, son of Lachchu Mian, Titul Mian, 25, son of Yunus Ali and Rashedul Islam, 27, son of Abdul Khaleque Uddin, of village Shirudanga under Mithapukur upazila.
BCL man killed over factional clash in Sylhet
An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League has been killed in an attack by rival group of the same party in Sylhet.
The deceased is Kazi Habib, an activist of Chhatra League and a fourth-year BBA student of Sylhet International University. He was a resident of Brahmanbaria.

IS group confirms 'Jihadi John' death
The Islamic State group's propaganda magazine has confirmed the British militant known as Jihadi John died in a drone strike in November.
The group published an obituary for the jihadist, whose real name was Mohammed Emwazi, in its online magazine Dabiq.
