Lionel Messi has been crowned world footballer of the year, winning the 2015 Ballon d'Or.
This year's event took place in Zurich on Monday evening.
Messi won his fifth Ballon d’Or award with this one.
While receiving the award the Argentine legend Lionel Messi said: "It is a very special moment for me to be back on this stage, winning again another Ballon d’Or after being there in the audience watching Cristiano win."
In the year of 2015, Messi scored 52 goals and made 26 assists in 61 games.
Messi scored in all six club tournaments in 2015, as his club Barcelona won five of them.
The other nominees were Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.
US midfielder Carli Lloyd wins Women's Player of the Year.
She becomes the third player from the USA to scoop the award, after Mia Hamm (2001-02) and Abby Wambach (2012).
She said : "Wow. It truly is an honour. This has been a dream of mine ever since I started my journey with the national tam."
Carli Lloyd's performance helped USA to win the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015, which is their third Women’s World Cup Trophy. The United States No.10 earned the adidas Golden Ball at the tournament.
The two other nominees in this category were Aya Miyama of Japan and Celia Sasic of Germany.
Barcelona boss Luis Enrique named Coach of the Year. US World Cup winner Jill Ellis wins Women's Coach of the Year.
Wendell Lira of Brazil accepted FIFA Puskas Award for his breathtaking bicycle-kick which has been voted by users of FIFA.com and francefootball.fr as the best goal of 2015.
