Singh is singing for Bangladesh

Update : 11 Jan 2016, 06:09 PM

Indian musical heartthrob Arijit Singh has recorded a track for Bangladeshi cinema Dhaka Attack, confirmed director of the film Dipankar Dipon on Monday.

It wasn’t only Arijit, for the whole music package for the film comes from West Bengal. Arindam Chatterjee is the music composer while Anindya Chattopadhay, Indraadip and Arindam, three musicians known for their work in Tollywood’s Shudhu Tomari Jonyo, have written the songs.

Arindam says: “The offer came from Bangladeshi director Dipankar Dipon. He narrated the story of his psychological thriller that got me into thinking. Also, he loved my composition Parbona ami chharte toke from the film Borbaad.”

Dhaka Attack is based on the lifestyle of Dhaka Police starring popular stars Arifin Shuvo and Mahiya Mahi.

“Anindyada wrote a romantic track, which was sung by Arijit. Prosen has written another peppy song; we are yet to finalise who will sing it,” said Arindam.
