A person has been killed when a bus, carrying Ijtema devotees, plunged into a road side ditch at Sarail in Brahmanbaria.
The deceased is Nasir Mia, 40, of Inani bazar area of Sylhet.
At least 26 others were also injured in the accident that took place on Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 5:45pm Thursday.
Khatihata highway police outpost sergeant Jahangir Alam said Nasir Mia died on the spot when the bus plunged into a ditch while crossing a truck.
The injured were admitted to local clinics, said the police officer.
