Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, who was admitted to a hospital in Delhi two weeks ago, has died. He was 79.
Sayeed was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences or AIIMS hospital in the national capital on December 24.
He had developed sepsis and was suffering from pneumonia, reported Indian news outlets.
