Rajshahi city dwellers, who have been demanding for a traffic police box on grounds of public transport security, have submitted a memorandum to Rajshahi Metropolitan Police on Tuesday.
Md Samiul Alam Shaon and Fazle Rabbi placed the memorandum on behalf of locals demanding a traffic police box in the Ghoshpara intersection as several road mishaps have been recorded due to lack of traffic surveillance in the area.
According to the memorandum, the city dwellers urged for a quick initiative in the area situated at the heart of Rajshahi city.
Thousands of people rushed to the area regularly for medical treatment and students also use the area to reach the Rajhshahi Medical College Hodpital, Rajshahi Nursing School and several others government and private institutions, the memorandum reads.
The city dwellers demanded immediate response of their demand.
