Five people have received burn injuries in an explosion at a dyeing factory in Dapa Indrakpur area under Fatullah upazila of Narayanganj district.
The injured are Nannu Miah, 30, Shahjalal, 28, Rasel, 32, Sabbir, 21, and Yasin, 22.
Fotullah model police station SI Golam Mostafa said: “Some workers were smoking in the chemical godown of Amin Dyeing Factory around 1am Tuesday. The explosion took place due to the leakage in the gas pipeline."
He said the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Later, police visited the explosion spot around 9am.
