A fire service worker has been killed in a road accident in Sitakunda Bazar area under Sitakunda upazila of the district Monday noon.
The deceased was identified as Mohorrom Ali, 29, son of Ohab Ali, hailed from Monohorgonj of Comilla, reports BSS.
Police said Mohorrom, a cook of Sitakunda Fire Service Station, was critically injured as a passenger bus ran over him in the area when he went to the market.
He was rushed to the Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead.
