Sohini Alam, a well-known singer both home and abroad, and Asif Asgar Ranjan, guitarist and lyricist of popular band Arbovirus, have tied the knot.
The two celebrated musicians had held a ceremony with friends and family at Dhaka’s Rose Garden Palace last month, as confirmed from a recent Facebook post by Sohini.
Sohini, a British singer of Bangladeshi origin, came to the limelight for her interpretation of Bangladeshi national anthem Amar sonar Bangla. A london-based band Khiyo, to which Sohini is the lead singer, brought it into production.
Besides Khiyo and another musical affiliation named Lokkhitera, Sohini is also involved with the London-based cultural organisation Komola Collective.
