Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samity (PCJSS) has rejected the municipal election in Rangamati held on December 30 and announced a daylong blockade programme in the district for tomorrow.
Terming the election a farce, the organisation alleged that the election was influenced by the district administration and the law enforcers, and marred by vote rigging, gross irregularities and attack on the supporters of rival candidates by the ruling party-backed mayor aspirant.
In a statement issued on Thursday, PCJSS said the road and waterway blockade would be enforced as part of its ongoing non-cooperation movement also to demand quick implementation of the 1997 Accord, also dubbed as Peace Accord.
