A mobile court has sentenced a councilor candidate in Rangunia Municipality of Chittagong to two years jail for ballot snatching around 3pm on Wednesday.
The sentenced Md Harun was a candidate of Ward No. 6 in the municipality with a symbol of Ostrich.
Upazila Returning Officer Md Saiful Islam Majumder confirmed the news and said Senior Judicial Magistrate Nishatuzzaman passed the order.
