The Election Commission has suspended five policemen who were on-duties in two polling centres in Kalkini municipality of Madaripur and three polling centres in Chandnaish municipality of Chittagong.
An election commission official, seeking anonymity, told the Dhaka Tribune that five policemen have been suspended for negligence in duty on Wednesday afternoon.
The commission has also withdrawn all law enforcers of all agencies deployed in those centres, he added.
