Two people have been killed as a pickup van ran them over at Naimuri under in Sirajganj.
The deceased are Riaz, 45, son of Shona Talukdar of Dighir Chal village and Jahidul, 27, son of Azhar Ali of Naimuri Raipara area.
Hatikumrul highway OC Abdul Quader Zilani said: “An onion-laden truck turned turtle when its driver lost his control over the steering due to the dense fog at Naimuri early Tuesday.
“Later, a pickup van ran over the two when they were collecting the onions scattered on the road.”
He said Riaz died on the spot while Jahidul died on the way to hospital.
