According to Save the Children, Sacha Baron Cohen, with his loving wife Isla Fisher, donated $1 million to charity to support Syrian refugees.
Cohen’s best works were in Borat and Les Miserables. He will also be starring as Fisher in the upcoming Keeping Up with the Joneses.
The donation is divided into two portions, one of which will go to Save the Children and other will be given to the International Rescue Committee. Save the Children will be using the portion of donation to vaccinate more than 250,000 children against measles in Northern Syria, while the other half will be spent on families in need (focusing on women and children) in Syria and its neighboring countries.
David Miliband, president and CEO of the International Rescue Committee, believes that Sacha and Isla’s donation is a great act of humanity and is a challenge to support the most vulnerable.
