Later today, poet Syed Shamsul Haque will be celebrating his 80th birthday at the National Theatre at Shilpakala Academy.
Syed Shamsul Haque is a Bangladeshi poet and writer, who lives alternately in Dhaka and London. He is renowned for his poetry and fictions. At the age of 29, he was honoured with the Bangla Academy Award, making him the youngest person ever to achieve the prestigious award. Later in 1984, he was honoured with Ekushey Podok.
