A bus service to give passengers a tour of Hatirjheel-Begunbari project was launched yesterday morning.
The service was inaugurated by Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain at Sonargaon rail crossing in the capital.
Hatirjheel-Begunbari project Director Jamal Akhter Bhuiyan said: “The service has started with four buses each having a seating capacity of 27 passengers.”
“The fare from Rampura to Karwan Bazar is Tk15, while Tk30 will be charged to move around Hatirjheel,” he said. Tickets will available at counters in Rampura, Madhubagh, FDC intersection, Boubazar, Shooting Club and Merul Badda.
HR Transport Ltd, which will operate the bus service, will pay Rajuk Tk180,000 per month.
