The public administration ministry has assigned magistrates in 235 municipalities with judicial power of mobile court to oversee municipality polls.
A public ministry notification was issued in this regard on Sunday.
The municipality election for mayors, councilors, reserved councilors is scheduled to be held on December 30.
The magistrates are empowered to run mobile court according to mobile court act, 2009 under the code of criminal procedure, 1898.
According to the notification, the divisional commissioners will assign the executive magistrates in respective municipality in the divisions.
