CIRDAP to partner with OECD Korea Policy Centre

The Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) will sign a MoU with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Korea Policy Centre.

The MoU aims to foster collaborative programmes in common areas like local governance, capacity building and cross-cutting issues of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

A delegation from OECD KOREA Policy Centre led by Mr Kong Bumsuk, director of Public Governance Programme, visited CIRDAP headquarters in Dhaka from 17 to 19 December to discuss possible partnership between CIRDAP and OECD Korea Policy Centre.

Dr Cecep Effendi, director general of CIRDAP, warmly welcomed the delegation and highlighted the importance of building regional partnership to address the emerging global challenges.

He proposed to the delegates possible ways of sharing action programmes and collaborative effort to disseminate knowledge and information among the countries of Asia-Pacific region.

Kong Bumsuk highly appreciated CIRDAP's effort in rural development in the region saying that his organisation would like to further contribute in building regional partnership among countries of Asia-Pacific Region.
