Newly appointed Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dr Adarsh Swaika has been made acting High Commissioner.
He will function as the acting High Commissioner till the arrival of High Commissioner-designate Harsh Vardhan Shringla in mid-January next, according to Indian High Commission in Dhaka.
High Commissioner Pankaj Saran left here for Delhi on Saturday on completion of his diplomatic assignment. He will move to Moscow, Russia as the next Indian Ambassador.
Adarsh Swaika was earlier Director in the United Nations Division in the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi.
