The Election Commission has been holding a meeting with different law enforcement and intelligence agencies to ensure peaceful environment in the upcoming municipal polls.
The meeting chaired by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed started around 11am Saturday at BIAM auditorium in the capital.
Sources said the EC authorities would brief journalists about the development or decision adopted in the meeting.
Top officials from the Home Ministry, police, Rapid Action Battalion and Border Guard Bangladesh as well as senior officials from some intelligence service agencies joined the meeting as well.
