Land records to be digitised soon

Land records in the district will be digitised soon and general public can view status of any parcel of land at the record room of Chittagong administration.

State Minister for Land Alhaj Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed MP came up with the statement while he was speaking as chief guest at the inaugural function of the Record Room Digitization of the district administration.

“There are 40 lakh khatians at 1064 Moujas in the district. It will be digitized soon,” he said.

With Deputy Commissioner Mesbah Uddin in the chair, the function was addressed by Punuobrata Chowdhury and Divisional Additional Commissioner Khalilur Rahman, among others.

“To implement the project, a total of 22 computers with Wi-Fi connection were set up in the record room,”said Rajib-ul-Ahsan, executive magistrate and record room officer.

A total five officials, five office assistants of the district administration and 52 officials at union level were trained up to continue the activities for digitization, added Rajib.
