Students of Dhaka College have locked into a clash with the shopkeepers of Dhanmondi Hawkers Market.
Seven persons including two students of Dhaka College were injured in the clash. They were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The clash erupted around 3:30pm Thursday. Transport movement remained suspended for about two hours on the roads in front of the college due to the clash.
ADC Jasimuddin told the Dhaka Tribune that two platoons of police cleared the roads around 5:20pm firing rubber bullet and tear gas.
Md Khorshed Alam, joint secretary of Dhanmondi Hawkers Market Owners' Association, told the Dhaka Tribune that a woman along with a child and two youth went to the market to buy a saree around 3pm Thursday.

He said: "They chose a saree priced Tk60,000 but denied to pay the price. The two men identified themselves as Dhaka College students said they won't pay the price.
"At one stage of altercation with the shopkeepers, they went away and came back again with about 20 to 25 others and attacked the shopkeepers."
He claimed that 15 to 25 shopkeepers were injured in the incident.
He also said they would file a case regarding the incident.

However, Dhaka College students claimed that the shopkeepers misbehaved with the female relative of one of their fellows. Being informed, other students went to the market that resulted the clash.
During the clash, the angry students vandalised several shops and set four motorcycles on fire including the bike of a Dhaka Tribune photographer.
